Maryellen McCone, RA, MA, LMHC

While each therapeutic relationship is unique and utilizes techniques which are appropriate to the individual, my focus is drawn from cognitive therapy which identifies how our thoughts influence our feeling and a mindfulness based practice which includes meditation and allows us to identify our thoughts and feelings in the present moment. This is coupled with self-compassion training in order to allow us to make changes that are in our best long term interest and to do so with compassion and not judgement.

I feel privileged to work with people in this capacity and to share their journey as they make changes that will eventually lead them to tap into their inherent strengths which will move them closer to the life they want to live. My hope is that whatever work I engage in, it would allow me the opportunity to work with individuals and contribute to their ability to function at their highest level.  My work has not ever been on a grand scale but I believe that I have made a difference in the lives of individuals and would like to continue to do so. Many of you may already know where you want to be in life and it’s just a matter of how to get there. I believe that reaching out to me will be a great first step and I’d be there with you every step of the way to facilitate the process of achieving your goals.
